VDU Website Fails to Load

If the university portal won't open, start with the basics: clear your browser cache, try a different browser, and check whether the issue appears on another device or network. DNS problems can also cause this — switching your DNS to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 often resolves silent loading failures. If the site loads partially but hangs on certain pages, disable browser extensions one by one to find the conflict.

Login Errors in the Student Portal

Authentication failures are usually tied to one of these root causes:

  • Expired or mistyped credentials — check Caps Lock and confirm you're using the institutional email format
  • Session conflicts from multiple open tabs — log out completely, close all tabs, and log in fresh
  • Browser autofill inserting an old password — clear saved passwords for the domain and enter manually
  • Account lockout after failed attempts — wait 15–30 minutes or contact the IT helpdesk to reset
Personal Account Interface Freezes

A frozen dashboard in the VDU student system is often a JavaScript issue. Reload the page with a hard refresh using Ctrl+Shift+R. If it keeps freezing, try disabling hardware acceleration in your browser settings. Outdated browser versions are a common culprit — updating to the latest release usually fixes rendering glitches.

Uploaded Files Not Saving or Loading

Document uploads failing or media not displaying in course modules typically points to file size limits or format restrictions. Check the allowed formats before uploading. If a file meets the requirements but still won't load, try a different browser or switch from Wi-Fi to a wired connection to rule out packet loss mid-upload.

Email Notifications Not Arriving

If system messages from Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas stop arriving, first check your spam folder and whitelist the institutional domain. Also verify that notification settings inside your personal account are still active — they occasionally reset after system updates.

High Ping During Online Sessions

Slow response times in live lectures or virtual classrooms usually come from local network congestion. Restart your router, close bandwidth-heavy apps running in the background, and if others on your network are streaming or downloading, ask them to pause. Connecting via Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi cuts latency noticeably.

Payment Not Going Through

If a tuition or fee payment fails, confirm your card supports online transactions and that 3D Secure is enabled with your bank. Try a different browser or device — some bank redirect pages block pop-ups, which breaks the confirmation flow. If the amount was charged but the system shows no confirmation, do not retry immediately; contact the finance office with your transaction ID.
